Stretch Festival
Mandurah’s annual arts and cultural festival Stretch is an eclectic mix of performances, workshops, exhibitions, installations and experiences held in many venues indoors and out around the city. Held every first weekend in May, the festival celebrates all that is good about living in Mandurah. It’s an opportunity for the community to fire up their imaginations, flex their fingers stretch their vocal chords and tap their toes. It’s a time to share stories, ideas and feelings through art. The program is woven together by established and emerging artists who use their creative energies and intellects to dazzle, intrigue, engage, guide and inspire. We love it! We hope you do too!
If history tickles your fancy – visit Christ’s Church, Sholl Street – taking part in the festival for the first time this year, then cross the road to the Mandurah Community Museum. Learn about Yagurburt George Winjan, Thomas Peel and the poisoned chalice! And tell the friends and reli’s in Perth to hop on the train to Mandurah, catch the free Foreshore Express and meet by the Rotunda so you can stretch together! | ||
